A little more about me...
- Composer/songwriter of all the songs of the rock band Retrofonía, having published four singles: "Entre Extraños y Dementes", "Algo Más", "El Corazón de la Ciudad (Esta Noche)" and "Cinco a Tres". As a performer in the group, I am the guitar player and main vocalist. I have recorded with the band 6-string an 12-string electric guitar, acoustic guitar, main & harmony vocals, and analogue synthesizer. Along with many other talented people, I co-produced the album "Relatos Citadinos", and mixed six of its tracks (tracks 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 11).
- Composer/songwriter of all the songs of the Hindustani-Rock Fusion band Bhadrakālī, having published two singles: "Do Chehare" and "Verdadero Trance. As a performer in the group, I am the guitar player and main vocalist. I have recorded with the band 6-string electric guitar, acoustic guitar, main & harmony vocals, and bansuri flute. Along with many other talented people, I co-produced the album "Un Periplo de Emociones" (soon to be released), and mixed three of its tracks (tracks 1, 2, and 4).
- Guitar player and backing vocals of Latin Latas, a project by songwriter, producer and activist Andrea DeFrancisco which seeks to raise awareness about climate change by playing with instruments made of recycled materials, having recently presented the kids play 'Resonando por el Planeta'.
- Former saxophone player for DJ artist and producer Santiago Navas in his Live Set and live performatic format "Acto de Fuga". Co-writer of the song "Balanza", in which I played many folk colombian instruments such as gaita, maracón and marimba de chonta, song featured in Navas' debut album "Punto de Fuga". Also played saxophone in several parts on the same album and other singles, including "Seis", "Alcantarilla" and "Silencio".
- Master of Music graduated from the career of "Musical Studies" at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, with emphasis in Commercial Composition; encompassing several musical styles such as common practice and modern era musical languages, traditional colombian music & modern fusion, rock & pop, big band jazz styles such as swing & latin, and music for film & media, under de guidance of teachers such as Julián Valdivieso, Guillermo Gaviria, Juan Sebastián Monsalve and Gilberto Martínez. Other studies include orchestration, arrangements, computer synthesis, basic recording techniques and musical tecnologies.
- Basic knowledge in instruments such as electric bass, drums, keyboards, alegre & tambora drums from the caribbean colombian music format. Knowledge in basic recording & mixing techniques under the guidance of Matthias Krieger from "Pocket Audio" recording studio, in which the songs of Retrofonía were recorded. Knowledge in audio recording/editing software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro and basic knowledge in Ableton Live. Other software knowledge include Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
